Connected Self warmly welcomes you to an introductory training session, held in Adelaide at in.STUDIO Ground Floor Pirie St, designed to develop an understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder in children and young people.
“An Introduction to Understanding and Working with Children on the Autism Spectrum” will be facilitated by provisional psychologist, Esther Fidock. Esther works with children and families, with a particular interest in the area of neurodiversity – Autism and ADHD. During our small group training session, the voices of children and young people with lived experience are used to highlight key concepts and practices for working with people on the Autism spectrum.
Learning outcomes from this training include:
- A thorough understanding of the diagnostic criteria, including female presentations
- An introduction to the idea of ‘neurodivergence’ and what this means in practice
- Key strategies that are useful to support children and young people to flourish at school and home
Our training includes a high quality training resource pack and a complimentary morning tea so please inform us of any dietary requirements when you register.
