Cancellation Policy

1 INTRODUCTION


1. Introduction This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which cancellations and no-shows will be handled for all training courses provided by Practice Institute Australia (PIA). This policy is designed to ensure that both PIA and our clients have a clear understanding of the implications of cancellations and no-shows, particularly considering the travel and accommodation costs incurred by PIA.


2. Definitions


  • No-show: Failure to attend a scheduled training session without prior notice.
  • Last-minute cancellation: Cancellation made within 14 days of the scheduled training session.


3. Policy Scope This policy applies to all participants who have registered for training sessions with PIA.


4. Cancellations

4.1 Cancellation by Participant

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled training session will receive a full refund or can be rescheduled to a future session at no additional cost.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled training session will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the total training cost.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled training session will incur a 75% cancellation fee of the total training cost.
  • Cancellations made within 3 days of the scheduled training session will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the total training cost.


4.2 No-shows

  • Participants who do not show up for their scheduled training session without prior notice will be considered a no-show and will incur a 100% no-show fee of the total training cost. No refunds or rescheduling will be provided for no-shows.


5. Substitutions

  • Participants may substitute another person to attend the training session in their place at no additional cost, provided PIA is notified at least 7 days before the scheduled session.


6. Rescheduling by PIA

  • In the unlikely event that PIA needs to reschedule or cancel a training session, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to attend the rescheduled session or another future session at no additional cost.

8. Refund Process

  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14 business days of receiving the cancellation notice.


9. Exceptional Circumstances

  • In cases of exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, natural disasters), PIA may, at its discretion, waive cancellation fees upon receipt of appropriate documentation.


10. Agreement

  • By registering for a training session with PIA, participants acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this Cancellation Policy.
